Great First Day of School!

sun pic.pngThank you to all staff, students are parents for a well organized first day of school!  We are currently set with an enrolment of 288 students and will likely start next week with 12 full divisions.  We hope to finalize our school population numbers by Thursday and finalize class organizations by Friday.

Tomorrow is a full day and classes begin at 8:30.  Dismissal is at 2:28.  Don’t forget to pack healthy snack and lunch and bring a water bottle!

I am happy to report that the District has now installed two water filters in the staff room and in the PAC kitchen.  They have also installed one filtrated water filling station downstairs and will install a second on on the main floor tomorrow.  We all now have access to clean drinking water.  Please note that other than these water.jpegmentioned sources, no other tap should be used as drinking water.

This week your child will be involved in some Maker Space projects and they may be asked to bring in some recycled materials from home.  Be sure to ask them about their building challenge and have a discussion about what it means to be creative and how to “persevere” in their design challenge.
