I cannot believe that this is our last shape of the week for the 2015-2016 school year. There will be a final newsletter put on the blog at the end of the week.
Lost and Found – Please take a look at our lost and found. There are lots of things that have been”found” that need to find their rightful owner. There are things hung on the rack and others in the wooden lost and found bin.
Still collecting materials to build with! We are still collecting things this week in preparation for using them in the new school year. Please take a look around your house for anything that is interesting to build with. Thank you to the families that have already brought things in. We need more! We are unlocking portable P111 (second from the lane) before and after school, but if you miss us, please leave it by the steps and we will make sure it gets put inside.
School Supplies – The deadline to order through Staples is June 27th. Please contact the office if you have any questions.
PAC Communication Survey – our hardworking PAC would like to survey our parents to see where people are getting their information about PAC events. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey. Tuesday – Div. 9 & 10 visit Clova Lanes
Wednesday – Div. 11 & 12 visit Clova Lanes, Grade 7 Farewell Dinner at the school for the Grade 7’s and their parents
Thursday – Farewell Assembly at 10:30am, final report card goes home and last day of school for students, early dismissal at 1:33pm, but if you wish to take your child home after the assembly, please let your child’s teacher know
Friday – Summer Vacation starts!
We are still madly collecting donations of things to build with for next year. Please review this list and see if there is something you can help us out with. We cannot have enough!!

The emergency kits that were ordered from the PAC will be delivered to the school Monday morning. They will be ready for pick up after school on Monday and before and after school Tuesday and Wednesday.

Here are the school supply lists for next year, including the ordering information if you want to order through Staples. If you chose to order through Staples you can do so online or drop off a cheque at the school or the Langley Staples store.
Grade 5, 6 and 7 also have Deluxe kits available for purchase with extra supplies – if you are not using last year’s. If you don’t need all the extra supplies in the Deluxe kit then you can purchase the Standard Kit and just the extra supplies you need.
Kindergarten students are paying a $40 school supply fee payable to the school.
The Free the Children Team is selling Rafiki Bracelets this week at lunch in the undercover area. They are $10 each – $5 goes to pay for the bracelet and $5 goes to support Tanzania, the country the FTC Team chose to support this year. Please support our Free the Children Team.
What a beautiful day for Games Day today! There was a breeze and it wasn’t too hot for us. The students played hard and had lots of fun. Thank you to Mr. Mullen and his class for their work planning, setting up and running the stations. It was nice to see so many parents join us today. It is definitely a day the students look forward to!
In the June Newsletter we asked for some donations of everyday materials to build with. Please bring them to Portable P111. We cannot have too much!!

Monday – Rafiki bracelets on sale at lunch
Tuesday -Rafiki bracelets on sale at lunch. As mentioned in the June Newsletter, there will be a Parent Information Session after school for parents who will have children in Grades 1, 2 and 3 next year. This meeting is about the possibilities and plans for class organization in the primary grades for next school year. We will meet in Ms. Leech’s room and childcare will be provided in Mrs. Sarchet’s room. It will start at 2:48pm (after the second bell) and be approximately 20 minutes or so.
