We know with the nicer weather that students like to stay after school and play. Just a reminder that school supervision ends at 2:48pm. At that time, students that have not been picked up are brought to the office. Students are permitted to stay on the school grounds after the second bell, if there is a parent present.
The staff and I have noticed that there are students playing in the forested area to the south of the school. I am concerned about student safety in this area with things that I have been hearing. If your child wants to play there after school, I ask that you supervise them as we have had some injuries. I also ask that you talk to your child about respect for the environment as we see branches being broken off trees. This year we have some classes visiting the forested area during instructional time to learn about the environment and explore their surroundings. They are taught to be safe and treat the environment with respect. We hope you can encourage this message at home too.
